Thankyou, Simon Farrell-Green and Natalie Smith for giving us the lowdown via their blog eatherenow on where  to eat in auckland, from cheap and cheerful  to fine dining.  They've pounded the pavement down Sandringham Rd and beyond to winnow out the best foodspots in auckland, saving you acres of time sorting the wheat from the chaff  from dining review sites.

 I am heading, asap to Tasty Takeaway  at 898 New North Rd to try their fried pork buns (shengjian), raw dough filled with pork and jellified stock, then  fried so the stock ooozes out.........mmmmmm
